Bones Wiki

Anique Pomerleau is the main antagonist of the Temperance Brennan novel Monday Mourning. Pomerleau is a traumatized, sexually sadistic sociopath having emulated her own tortures on other little girls just like when she suffered at their ages. Pomerleau escaped, only to be killed in Bones Never Lie by the only girl who survived, Tawny McGee.

Trivia[]

  • Kathy Reichs has said Pomerleau is partly inspired by Colleen Stan, who is mentioned in the book. Colleen was kidnapped while hitchhiking to a friends house in California, only to be raped and tortured in a couple's captivity and developing Stockholm Syndrome to bide her time and survive, until she took her chance years later to escape and run to the police.
