Heath Freeman (June 23, 1980 – November 14, 2021)[1] was an American actor.

He portrays Howard Epps, serial killer, in the first two seasons of Bones.

He was known for playing the role of Gavin Dillon in the American legal drama television series Raising the Bar, as well as roles on Bones, NCIS, and Skateland

Biography[]

He studied acting and film at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and later in the BFA acting program at The University of Texas at Austin.

He is most commonly known for his roles in television dramas. Freeman's early acting career was founded on his roles in various dramas, such as "ER" (NBC, 1994-2009), "Without A Trace" (CBS, 2002-09) and "NCIS" (CBS, 2003-). He also appeared in "Tru Calling" (Fox, 2003-05). He also appeared in the TV movie "Nancy Drew" (ABC, 2002-03). He continued to work steadily in television dramas throughout the early 2000s, appearing on "Medical Investigation" (NBC, 2004-05), "The Closer" (TNT, 2004-2011) and "Bones" (Fox, 2005-2017). More recently, he earned a role in "The Painting" (2005). Freeman focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the drama "Skateland" (2011) with Shiloh Fernandez, the thriller "Dark Was the Night" (2015) with Kevin Durand and the Katherine Heigl comedic drama "Home Sweet Hell" (2015). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Raising the Bar" (TNT, 2008-09). Freeman most recently acted in the horror flick "The Wicked Within" (2015) with Eric Roberts.
