Lucas Pickford appears in The Dentist in the Ditch.
He killed Dan Pinard.
When the victim discovered that Lucas was defrauding him, he reacted violently. Lucas replied by using homophobic epithets and when Daniel attacked him for this, he accidentally killed Daniel. Even though the act could be considered self defense, Lucas let Daniel bleed to death without calling for help and left his corpse in a ditch. When the Jeffersonian confirms his identity as the killer, Lucas tries to justify his actions, saying that Daniel assaulted him for trivial reasons, but Booth replies that what Lucas did before defending himself—defrauding Daniel and then insulting him when he found out his scam—and then after accidentally mortally wounding the latter—letting him bleed to death and then dumping his body in a ditch—means that Lucas is anything but the victim. Lucas is not able to reply and is arrested.
