Maya Zinkow (1979-1994) was the first victim of Stephanie McNamara, the Ghost Killer. Maya and Stephanie went to high school together and were friends. Stephanie's father Giles McNamara raped Maya one day and due to the abusive relationship she had with him, Stephanie stabbed Maya 16 times to death out of jealousy, then her father paid off Leslie Dollinger, the ME on the case to frame their biology teacher, Herman Kessler.
