Season 7 of Bones premiered on November 3, 2011, on the Fox Network. The show was renewed officially by FOX on May 3, 2011 and the season premiered on November 3, 2011 with the episode The Memories in the Shallow Grave. It maintained its previous time slot, airing on Thursdays at 9:00 pm ET. The season contained a reduced order of 13 episodes to accommodate Emily Deschanel's pregnancy.

When squint Wendell Bray learns that the victim also survived a bullet wound, inconsistencies in her medical records uncover a surprising crime linked to her murder. Meanwhile, Brennan and Booth adjust to their new life as an expectant couple and deal with the forthcoming changes in their home life.   The Hot Dog in the Competition November 10, 2011 702 Written By: Michael Peterson Directed By: Dwight Little The Jeffersonian team identifies the remains of a competitive-eating champion, just days before the start of the Gluttony Games, a premiere eating competition with a $10,000 prize at stake. The remarkable work of new squint-and former juvenile delinquent-Finn links obscure evidence found in the belly of a snake with laws of physics that helps solve the crime. Despite his brilliance in the lab, Finn is met with hostility and skepticism, leading Cam to question her decision to give him a chance to start anew. Meanwhile, Booth is caught off-guard by an announcement Brennan makes about their baby. Meanwhile, Sweets, with the support of his girlfriend, squint Daisy Wick, prepares for his gun certification test despite Booth's opposition to Sweets carrying a weapon. Mom-to-be Brennan, wonders whether she will be a good mother and uses the case as a way to understand the importance of toys and playing with her child.   The Male in the Mail December 1, 2011 704 Written By: Pat Charles Directed By: Kevin Hooks Dismembered remains are discovered in several mailing boxes at a dead letter office, and the Jeffersonian team identifies the victim as an employee of a local Ship 'n' Print, where the staff recently split the winnings of a lottery prize. The team uncovers a complicated love triangle between two married employees and the victim, and while motive points to the husband, a critical clue leads them to solve the crime definitively. Meanwhile, Booth's grandfather breaks some unexpected news, and Special Agent Genny Shaw learns the importance of teamwork.   The Twist in the Twister December 8, 2011 705 Written By: Karine Rosenthal Directed By: Jeannot Szwarc The team discovers the remains of a so-called "storm chaser" who seems to have died while following a tornado. But footage recorded during the storm ultimately leads them to believe he was murdered. Meanwhile, Booth becomes increasingly overprotective of Brennan both at home and in the field, and sleep-deprived Angela and Hodgins come to terms with having Angela's father and rock musician (guest star Billy F. Meanwhile, Booth asks Brennan to take it easy as they await the birth... Booth is not happy when Brennan, in her advanced state of pregnancy, decides she is the only scientist who can solve the mystery of a prisoner's corpse found miles from the prison in the sewer system.   The Bump in the Road April 9, 2012 708 Written By: Keith Foglesong Directed By: Dwight Little With the help of a special agent the team identify the remains of a discount shopper who was dragged by an 18 wheeler. Meanwhile, Brennan is adjusting to her first day back at the job after giving birth and Cam disapproves of her daughter dating one of the interns in the lab.   The Don't in the Do April 16, 2012 709 Written By: Janet Lin Directed By: Jeannot Szwarc When a corpse is found at a landfill, dyed in a blue substance, intern Arastoo Vaziri discovers a method that helps eliminate postmortem damages to the corpse, which leads the team back to a hair salon where the victim worked. Meanwhile Bones is feeling uncomfortable in her post-baby body, so Booth decides to do something special to boost her self-confidence.   The Warrior in the Wuss April 23, 2012 710 Written By: Michael Peterson, Dean Lopata Directed By: Chad Lowe The corpse of a truck company employee is found in the middle of the woods. After the victim's son is questioned, Booth and Brennan visit his karate class in search of a motive. Back at the lab, Hodgins is going overboard purchasing lab equipment. Then, Booth's son Parker returns from England and Brennan is apprehensive about how he'll react to his new baby sister.   The Family and the Feud April 30, 2012 711 Written By: Janet Lin, Pat Charles Directed By: Dwight Little When a corpse is found in the middle of the woods, the team links the victim to two families that have been feuding for almost a century. Brennan and Booth interrogate a family member with a shocking confession that leads them to a motive for the victim's murder. Meanwhile, Brennan has a difficult time accepting her father's offer to babysit their infant daughter because of his unpredictable presence in her own childhood.   The Suit on the Set May 7, 2012 712 Written By: Emile Levisetti Directed By: Karine Rosenthal Brennan and Booth head out to Los Angeles to consult on the production of "Bone of Contention," a film based on Brennan's latest book and the work of the Jeffersonian team. While on set, Brennan intervenes after finding flaws with the actors' performances, not to mention the film's total disregard for science. Then she discovers that the prop cadaver being used is an actual murder victim, forcing her and Booth to launch an investigation that has real-world consequences in the land of make-believe. Meanwhile, Booth is offered a job on the studio lot, and embarrassing information is revealed about Cam's past.   The Past in the Present May 14, 2012 713 Written By: Carla Kettner Directed By: David Boreanaz Evil tech genius Christopher Pelant, a suspect in a previous case Brennan and Booth handled, is back in court on appeal. Knowing what he is capable of, Brennan and Booth inform the judge that he is a suspect in two murder cases. Then, Brennan and Booth are called to the scene of a new murder. After determining the victim is Brennan's friend, who also is linked to Pelant, the Jeffersonian team works to prove he is guilty once and for all. But when law enforcement examines the team's findings, key pieces of evidence are tied to Brennan and suspicion falls on her.
