Vince McVicar is the man who killed Christine Brennan, the mother of Temperance Brennan. He was later killed in prison by a friend of Max Keenan named Mitchell Downs.
Background[]
Born and raised on a farm in Iowa, McVicar was an enforcer/hitman in the gang Brennan's parents worked with. His usual method of killing was shooting them in the head with a spring-loaded captive bolt-stunner, a device normally used to stun animals before slaughter. After becoming an informant against his former associates, McVicar went into witness protection under the alias "Steve Beers", though he was later arrested and kicked out of the program when it was discovered and proven that he had murdered Christine Brennan. He was later killed by Mitchell Downs under the orders of Christine's widow Max Brennan.
